**About the Role**:
The **Business Development Executive** will be joining a dynamic team of individuals with a passion for cutting edge technology. The successful applicant will work closely with customers to grow and promote the sale of Candrone products and services including drones, sensors, cameras and LiDAR solutions. They will be able to develop an excellent rapport with existing customers, be knowledgeable about competing products and can break down technical terminology to non-technical clients. They will also actively and successfully manage the end-to-end sales process; source new customers, scope customer requirements, provide unique solutions, determine customer quotes and liaise with the relevant departments to ensure successful delivery. This is a unique role with a mix of office work (hybrid) and in-person demos with clients throughout Canada so an interest and ability to travel is preferred.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead generation and cultivation sales vertical strategy.
- Engage in industry events, conferences, and workshops to foster relationships and generate new leads.
- Consult and advise customers of a wide array of backgrounds from drone service providers to industry professionals.
- Provide professional solution-based quotes and proposals.
- Perform routine follow up outbound calls to existing leads within Pipedrive to maintain engagement and finalize the agreement.
- Identify upsell and growth opportunities; collaborate with the service teams to ensure growth attainment.
- Provide accurate and timely reports, and forecasts (weekly and monthly); ensure CRM pipeline is current.
- Respond and actively seek Requests for Quote or Requests for Proposals.
- Consistently achieve or exceed agreed monthly sales targets and time scales.
- Maintain high-level knowledge regarding products, services, and competitors.
- Be aware of industry trends to promote new services and products.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and showcase the value and capabilities of our solutions.
- Monitor the Candrone online chat and respond to customer inquiries and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
- Use a variety of high precision aerial payload sensors and UAV platforms.
- Other duties and tasks requested by management.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Business, Engineering, or other related disciplines would be considered as an asset.
- Experience with flying drones and background in UAV (Unmanned Areial Vehicle) is highly preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in technical sales/technical customer support role is highly preferred.
