**Your opportunity**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Promoting research initiatives to increase program visibility and reputation
- Ensuring contracts and agreements prepared by others are consistent with University policy and standards
- Verifying research funding proposals are complete, accurate and adhere to sponsor guidelines
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to build awareness and increase business potential
- Monitoring, recording, reconciling and/or reporting on funding accounts for grants and contracts

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of experience working in a related research (academic or industry) environment
- Demonstrated experience identifying, developing and executing strategies for research partnerships and development collaborations with private and or government partners
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience using project management tools and developing project schedules including milestones, critical paths, timelines and deliverables and reporting
- Excellent ability to provide ideas/proposals visually using diagrams, charts, graphs, etc
- Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, Forms, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines
- Must be highly service-oriented with a genuine commitment to fulfilling the departmental mission and to offering quality service while fostering positive working relationships with all areas of the University
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude and a flexible approach to work
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, good judgment and diplomacy when dealing with students, faculty and staff
- A high degree of initiative, creativity, and attention to detail is required. The ability to prioritize and complete many competing demands in order to meet strict deadlines is essential
- Applicants are also expected to show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment

- Experience in a university setting with knowledge of academic policies, practices and procedures and familiarity with the University of Toronto Guide to Financial Management an asset
