**Admissions Manager**

The Admissions Manager works closely with the Director of Admissions to oversee the Admissions department staff and implement departmental initiatives.

The Admissions Manager will assist the Director of Admissions in the day-to-day operations of the department as it relates to Admissions Advisors and Recruiters by:

- providing leadership to the members of the recruitment team;
- planning and budgeting for recruitment initiatives;
- assisting in the establishment and implementation of departmental policies and procedures;
- contributing to the strategies required to ensure that enrolment objectives are met.

The Admissions Manager is involved in collaboratively making decisions about future recruitment plans and strategies and ensuring promotion of the University

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supporting the Director of Recruitment and Admissions in the hiring, training and supervision of staff.
- Planning and coordinating recruitment activities including travel itineraries, school, church and university visits, and prospective student contact programs.
- Maintaining regular contact with other university departments regarding support required in the recruitment of students.
- Collaborating with other admissions staff in preparing and updating recruitment presentations and materials to be used during the recruitment season.
- Be responsible for a cohort of prospective students for recruiting purposes.
- Assisting with the work of establishing and maintaining personal direct contact with prospective students from initial contact through to the point of registration.
- Maintaining contact and provide resources to school counsellors, parents, and youth leaders/pastors
- Overseeing maintenance of information records of contacts in appropriate Admissions database.
- In collaboration with the Development department, represent the University at events and conferences to increase and strengthen supporting constituencies.
- Maintaining familiarity with University personnel, programs, and plans for future development.
- Developing and maintaining budgets within the Admissions Department that relate to recruitment.
- Assist in developing and maintaining various initiatives run by the Admissions department.
- Develop or assist in developing recruitment and admission policies, procedures and strategies.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three years of experience in university recruitment. Experience in a university environment in student accounts, financial aid, registrar’s office, academic advising or admissions strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, employees, and administration
- Excellent organizational and supervisory skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft office suite, a CRM system and prospective student database
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- A commitment to a student-centered customer service philosophy
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with young adults
- Commitment to Christian post-secondary education, including an understanding of King’s ethos and culture
- Valid automobile operator’s licence; class 5 or equivalent

Note: Some travel is required in this position

The salary range for the position is $59,000 - $69,000/yr dependent on qualifications and experience
