**Vicars School of Massage Therapy is hiring a Marketing Specialist**

We have an opening for a marketing professional in or near **Edmonton, Alberta, **to manage our social media and community presence, maintain our web site, and help us find the right students for our classes.

With campuses in Edmonton and Calgary, Vicars is a women-owned and progressive career college with a proven and documented focus on quality. Our curriculum and delivery meet the highest national standards, and our grads are in great demand by employers.

Our program has always been delivered through blended learning (ever since 2001, when it was a surprising idea, even in adult education). We persisted with this model-a combination of online and hands-on; home and campus-because it works so well for parents or other adults who need flexibility in their lives.

But because this kind of learning requires a bit more commitment, marketing the school to prospective students is a challenge, too. Our enrollment goal has always been quality over quantity. We want students who will thrive in the program and the career. We don't take a hard-sell approach, we don't have a revolving door for admissions reps who sell on commission, and we always tell the truth.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing the school's creative **marketing plans** as needed, in collaboration with Admissions, Student Clinics, and Communications teams
- Managing our social media engagement on FB, our YouTube channel, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and others
- Creating content, including **short-form videos**, basic photography, and **writing** for these platforms
- Maintaining the **website for SEO** and to sustain its appeal and effectiveness
- Creating and administering satisfaction surveys for marketing and student retention purposes
- Contributing to our communications library of still and video images, message templates and more
- Coaching and working with instructors and staff to develop information streams from both campuses for posting appropriately on deadline. In this, you will have the full support of the executive director, communications director, and admissions director

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Has the expertise and experience to work confidently with mínimal direction, but is open to new ideas and learning new skills
- Has proficiency in marketing and communications software, including HubSpot
- Is flexible and able to stay balanced in times of change and urgency
- Is positive, outgoing, kind, and cooperative

We are prepared to offer a full-time position working out of the Edmonton campus (southside Calgary Trail at 68 Avenue). Some travel to Calgary will be needed. This is a hybrid position, reporting to the communications director. We are flexible about hours of work and open to work-from-home. We expect the workload to be 40 hours/week. You will have a workspace on campus and be expected to collaborate with both Admissions and Communications teams.
