**MAJOR DUTIES**:
The Customer Training Coordinator is responsible for delivering a best in class training experience to ATS’ customers. You will analyze training requirements specific to customer needs and research, write, teach and/or source training courses related to identifiable needs. The incumbent will also deliver training content/classes onsite at ATS or/and at customer sites as required.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Training Coordination:
- Maintain training database, including evaluation, certification and tracking of ATS customer trainees.
- Coordinate the operation of a technical training center at ATS and other locations as needed.
- Coordination and oversight of technical training material at customer site
- Upgrade personal knowledge of automation components and devices as needed.
- Maintain electronic reporting of the operation of the training system.
- Schedule classes based on equipment and customer availability.
- Preparation and review of training quotations to respond to customers R.F.Q.’s.
- Provide monthly reports detailing previous months’ activities.
- Be able to be on call on a rotational basis and take the lead to help non-service personnel on call at any time.

Training Content Creation:
- Assist in the development of technical curriculum, such as student course books, in the area of Automation Systems, Safety, and I.S.O.
- Assist in the integration of support manuals with that of training material and verify the delivery of the information to ATS customers.
- Support the development of digital twin for training, training videos and IIoT software training for integration into the training program
- Develop and capture video content of technical material and provide editing, audio overlay, text overlay and processing and integrate Human Performance behaviours into the training programs
- Support the creation and development of computer-based training (online learning)
- Write training programs, including training outline, manuals, handouts and presentation materials.
- Create and administer, where necessary, written or practical exams.

Training Delivery:
- Conduct programs to train ATS customers in equipment installation, programming, safety, maintenance and repair of custom machinery and equipment such as robots and programmable controllers, following manuals, specifications, blueprints and schematics, using hand tools, measuring instruments and test equipment.
- Make follow-up calls with customer to verify that the quality of training delivered meets or exceeds customer expectations in an efficient manner.
- Confer with management, other ATS resources and customers to determine training objectives.
- Demonstrate procedures being taught.
- Observe trainees in both classroom and during hands-on activities to ensure good knowledge transfer, and safety and answer trainees’ questions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Three-year college diploma in an engineering field, or successful completion of a skilled trades apprenticeship or degree in instructional design, instructional technology, adult education or equivalent experience.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of one year of experience in customer training.
- Familiar with word processing, basic CAD, and PC’s.
- Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined engineering/trades environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude required.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Previous experience in training and program development is required.
