**Purpose**:
As the Payroll Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. This role ensures the timely processing of remittances to government agencies and vendors and accurate reconciliation of all payrolls.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Executes payroll accounting and/or pension payroll activities, and ensures the proficiency of payroll finance, governance, and reporting
- Processes pension payments/tax submissions and reporting in a timely an accurate manner
- Conducts individual payroll checks to identify errors and make adjustments as required
- Monitors and identifies errors within payroll systems, escalates to Senior Manager, Payroll Operations, for resolution as required
- Conducts internal audits, ensures all activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies and procedures
- Seeks opportunities to improve/enhance operational efficiency, proposes recommendations to Senior Manager Payroll Operations.

**Experience / Education**:

- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business or pursuing education related field
- PCP or CPM designation is considered an asset
- Experience in accounting is required
- 3+ years of previous experience in payroll
- Knowledge of SAP payroll is an asset or experience with a large payroll ERP system
- Knowledge of payroll policies, and the end to end payroll process
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Intermediate to advance skills using Excel (Functions & Pivot Tables)
- Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
