If so, we want you to join our team as an Accounts Payable Administrator. Andy's Tire Group is a locally owned, rapidly growing group of companies with 35 retail locations, 5 distribution centers, and 3 retreading plants across the maritime provinces.The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice submission, processing, and payment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and an understanding of basic accounting principles.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Invoice Entry**:Enter approved invoices into accounting software. Ensure proper GL coding and descriptions. Match invoices with inventory receipts.
- **Payments**: Prepare cheque runs, electronic transfers, and Visa payments.
- **Reconciliation**: Reconcile vendor statements and follow up with operations on missing transactions. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- **Vendor Management**: Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. Ensure accurate and timely responses to vendor queries. Request copies of missing invoices.
- **Record Keeping**:Maintain historical records by filing documents both physically and electronically.
- **Reporting**: Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Recommend improvements to accounts payable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
