The Enterprise Commons Branch works closely with the implementation and of enterprise-wide initiatives and projects and works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and all Department Leadership Teams to provide strategic advice, leadership, and analysis to ensure informed decision making with respect to the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (Enterprise Commons) solution.

Reporting to the Branch Manager Enterprise Commons, this position is responsible for issues management, quality control for the Enterprise Commons project, implementation and evaluation of branch and enterprise-wide initiatives and projects; conceptualizing, researching and executing complex, confidential and sensitive assignments

As a key member of the Branch Manager’s Office, this role is responsible for coordinating the activities of the branch such as council reports, performance reporting and evaluation, project management, strategic planning, and budget development & financial oversight. This position is also an expert communicator in writing and presenting highly technical matters in a way that is easy to understand.
- Provides leadership, research, analysis, monitoring and recommendations on a wide variety of issues primarily at the Branch and project level, however, will also be involved at the Corporate level
- Ensure effective scope, approaches and best practices are followed within branch business
- Ensure that emerging issues are brought to the attention of the Branch Manager and appropriate Senior Leadership in a timely manner and respecting any sensitivities
- Review Council Reports, citizen and Council inquiries, briefings and presentations for content and completeness, edit and provide direction to branch team members and interact with all levels of the Corporation and/or external stakeholders
- Identifies strategic issues that may affect the Branch and independently researches, provides recommendations and implements solutions on behalf of the Branch Manager
- Build relationships with staff within the branch and across the corporation for strong coordination and integration of city programs and services
- Conduct environmental scans to identify trends and opportunities to ensure relevancy, efficiency and effectiveness of branch operations
- Ensure that emerging issues are brought to the attention of the Branch Manager and appropriate senior leadership in a timely manner and respecting any sensitivities
- Act as the first point of contact on all branch leadership communications
- Collaborate across organizational lines to develop and facilitate effective solutions on branch initiatives, programs and projects

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree in Commerce, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Political Science, Sociology or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years, progressively responsible strategic and management experience
- Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, large volume, deadline-driven environment in diverse areas such as political analysis, budget preparations, human resources, communications and project management
- Ability to effectively transfer ideas, concepts and information into effective and efficient strategies. Demonstrated ability to analyze information, translate ideas and concepts into effective and efficient strategies, problem-solve using interest-based approaches
- Proven knowledge and experience in business strategic planning approaches and implementation; experience in project management processes, project administration, and managing multiple projects
- Understanding of change management principles and practices
- Proven understanding and experience in the areas of business process improvement, business process mapping and business process management
- Advanced communication skills and excellent presentation skills, experience in report writing, Council and Committee activities, budget preparation and management, and municipal administration
- Exceptional communication abilities, listening, presenting and writing, demonstrated at a highly consultative level
- Future-focused and proactive approach to work (systems thinking)
- Ability to develop, implement and evaluate innovative plans and influence key decision makers
- Demonstrated ability to function comfortably, effectively, and authentically in a dynamic, complex, and sometimes-ambiguous environment; exercise good judgement and a measured approach to managing stress
- Effective and efficient time management in a dynamic environment based on competing urgent, long term and important work demands
- Advanced computer skills, including the Google Platform
