The Manager HR & Admin will drive the HR function at CellnTell. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions including Talent Acquisition and Retention, Staffing, Payroll, Training, Employee Life Cycle Management, designing and evaluating career paths, and crafting strategies that meet business goals. The Manager HR & Admin will also have added responsibilities of Facilities Management. The incumbent needs to be a strategic business partner for the Executive Team guiding them in all matter pertaining to Human Resources.

This is a Standalone role reporting to the Chief Business Officer. This role will be working on-site.

**What you will be doing**

80% of your time will be spent on the following:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate human resources programs including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, compensation, health, safety and wellness, employee benefits, training and development, HR technology, succession planning, employee retention, employee relations and compliance.
- Advise, train and assist line-managers and Directors on the performance management and review process.
- Lead the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding processes
- Provide timely and accurate payroll inputs to external accounting team for payroll processing.
- Be the focal person for all employee queries pertaining to the HR & Admin domain.
- Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce our position as an equal opportunity employer.
- Update and, where necessary, develop the HR policies for the company.
- Process employee life cycle including from onboarding, salary and job changes, down to the Exit Interview.
- Redesign and, where necessary, establish processes and procedures pertaining to the HR Function
- Be a true business partner to leadership to resolve complex challenges by providing strategic recommendations to support organizational goals.
- Responsible for the implementation of Health and Safety Programs, under the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and other relevant legislation.
- Plan, design and roll out all employee communications.

20% of your time will be spent on the following:

- Take lead in facilities and office management.
- Collaborate closely with the Inventory manager for the upkeep of the Warehouse
- Place orders for Business tools, Stationery and other Office & Warehouse Supplies in a timely manner so business operations are not disrupted.
- Manage travel arrangements for the Executive Team

**What we look for**
- 3-5 years experience in an HR Administrator or HR Generalist role.
- Post graduate degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
- CHRP/CHRL or working towards the certification is an asset
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to confidentially deal with sensitive information.
- Able to effectively and tactfully handle various complex employee issues.
- Display empathy and patience and be a good active listener.
- Generate new approaches to problems or innovations to established best practices.
- Stay current and ensure compliance to all applicable legislation including The Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code and the Employment Standards Act.
