**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Reports to the Human Resources (HR) Manager
- Conducting general orientation and onboarding of new hires
- Manage and update employee attendance data for payroll
- Keep detailed documentation on HR relation employee matters, discussions, and meetings.
- Communicate company initiatives and events through effective meetings and memos
- Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace atmosphere
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, terminations
- Assist Supervisors with performance reviews and employee relations
- Maintain employee information records using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Support the Human Resources Manager with administrative duties
- Support and assist with the development and enforcement of Company Policies and Procedures
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality

**COMPETENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- College degree in Human Resources or business administration or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year of relevant HR experience
- Understanding of Ontario Industrial regulations and labour codes is an asset
- Experience with WSIB Claims management is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, with superior organizational and time management skills (ability to multi-task)
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain detailed and organized records
- Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
- Responsible and dependable, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
