**Position Summary**:
The Manager, Continuing Education Business Administration provides the continuing education team and senior leadership with sophisticated decision support tools, streamlined processes, and in-depth market research to enable the most effective allocation of resources into the programs that will be the most successful against four key criteria - growth, quality of programming, innovation of offerings, and sustainability of programming & results.

**Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- Budget decision support, for example:

- Streamlining processes related to financial reporting and quarterly review to ensure CE stakeholders have easily accessible and timely information
- Engaging as liaison and support partner among finance, CE, and senior leadership, facilitating deep dives into financial plans to reveal opportunities to improve sustainability, innovation, and program success
- Providing insights directly to the Director, Continuing Education to facilitate identification of high value programming and effective resource allocation
- Creating and maintaining dashboards to align all staff to current and projected programming
- Creating and refining breakeven tools, more accurately representing direct and absorbed costs
- Contracts & records administration, for example:

- Developing, standardizing, and streamlining department processes related to contracts processing, risk management, contract negotiation throughput
- Engaging as a liaison, support partner, and rapid resolution facilitator for rapid closure of contracts enabling significant innovation and growth
- Research & decision support leadership, for example:

- Streamlining processes related to identifying program growth opportunities, specifically related to high value markets, impacts of previous projects, alignment to financial objectives, and partnering with colleagues on the exploration and delivery of related research
- Innovation of dashboards, tracking systems, current and historical knowledge management resources to facilitate data-informed rapid entry or deferment of market opportunities
- Summary & executive reporting, for example:

- Ensuring clear communication and access to information to enable effective collaboration across the organization, by imagining and implementing innovative solutions, including data organization, knowledge management, and dashboards
- Inventing, refining, and expanding the use of quality measurement tools across the continuing education portfolio
- Engaging broadly and deeply across stakeholder departments to ensure successful implementation of uniquely CE department methods and processes, manifested in decision support tools and executive-level summary reporting

**Position Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, product or market management, decision support, data analytics or similar program
- Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience, across a diverse portfolio of accountability areas
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible, curious, and willing to experiment, learn, and evolve solutions over time
- Talented in influencing others, and in helping colleagues and stakeholders see new opportunities in different ways
- Strongly self-directed, innovative, and driven to take ownership and demonstrate mastery
- Experience in a post-secondary institution or not for profit environment would be an asset
- Experience working with contracts, legal processes, and risk management would be an asset
- Experience with financial processes, budget models, and financial reporting would be an asset
- Experience creating dashboards, trend reports, and executive level reports would be of significant value
