We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our IT team in Toronto. As a Business Manager, you will play a critical role in aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, ensuring effective project management, and driving operational efficiency. Your expertise in both IT and financial services will be instrumental in optimizing IT processes, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration between IT and other business units.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with senior management and business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and identify IT opportunities to support business growth and efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into actionable IT initiatives and prioritize projects based on their potential impact on the organization.
- Vendor onboarding and contract management, including:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors;
- Identify and evaluate new vendors to meet the company's needs;
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors;
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contracts and agreements;
- Develop and implement vendor management processes and procedures;
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure vendor performance meets their expectations;
- Identify and manage vendor risks;
- Manage vendor incidents and escalations;
- Communicate with senior management on vendor performance, risks and issues.
- Manage financial budgets and forecasting for the IT division, identifying opportunities for efficiency in process where possible.
- Monitor KPI’s and performance metrics to measure and optimize IT performance.
- Ensure IT policies, procedures and practices comply with relevant negotiations, industry standards and data security protocols.
- Oversee IT audits and risk assessments, implementing necessary controls and corrective actions.
- Communicate IT related updates, project progress, and performance reports to senior management and relevant business stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between the IT department and other business unit, fostering effective communication and understanding.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years experience in business management or strategy function supporting complex IT organization in financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial services operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, budget management, and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a focus on data driven decision making.
- Solid understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in IT project management tools and financial analysis software.
