**The Opportunity**

Corporate Facilities provides the City of Barrie with expertise in four key service areas: facility planning, design and construction; maintenance and property management, facility asset management and energy management. As a Centre of Excellence for a large and complex inventory of physical assets, the department comprises all the necessary functions and lines of business to ensure the full life-cycle management of the City of Barrie's facility and property portfolios.

The Office Services Assistant position provides administrative support related to the delivery of departmental services and programs and provides courteous, professional and timely customer service for all inquiries.

**Education **(degree/diploma/certifications)
- One (1) year College Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration or related discipline

**Experience**
- One (1) year of experience performing duties related to the Office Services Assistant major responsibilities

**Knowledge/Skill/Ability**
- Accurate keyboarding speed of 50 wpm
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, customer services, multi-tasking/work prioritization skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently with good judgement and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diverse workload with challenging deadlines

**Other Important Information**

**Location**: Corporate Facilities, 157 Bradford Street, Barrie, ON*
- _Please note the City has recently launched a _**_Hybrid Work Program Procedure_**_ and pilot program for 2022 that may allow a hybrid work arrangement for employees who meet the eligibility requirements._

**Hours**: The normal hours of work are 35 hours per week in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

**Wage**: This position is within the CUPE Local 2380 Bargaining Unit with the following pay level and 2023 pay range:

- _Pay Level:_ Level 3
- _Yearly Salary:_ $46,937.80 to $56,201.60 per year
- _Hourly Pay Rate:_ $25.79 to $30.88 per hour
