Winnipeg, Canada Downtown Community Safety Partnership Full time

The Accounting & Administrative Assistant will act in accordance with the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership and will be a passionate and driven individual, valuing diversity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create account receivable invoices and collect payments.
- Record accounts payable invoices and process payments.
- Collect receipts and record expenses for monthly credit card statements.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining general ledger accounts by posting account transactions
- Assist with funding reports (provide information on how funding was spent)
- Assist with annual budget preparation and audits.
- Perform related clerical duties including maintaining filing and record systems, scanning, and photocopying.
- Provide payroll support for managers and supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a productive and organized work environment.
- Maintain office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a Business Administration and/or Accounting Diploma or Certificate. A combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
- Experience performing accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting and/or maintaining financial records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Experience with payroll software and asset.
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
- Proven ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid communication skills and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset.

  

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
