Canadian Mental Health Association Durham is an integrated community mental health and primary care hub that has been providing mental health services to Durham Region for over 60 years.

During that time, it has evolved to provide a broad range of services to individuals and their families experiencing mental health challenges, from information and education to case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, housing and primary healthcare. These services are provided through inter-professional teams focused on providing clinically based services that, in addition to dealing with client mental health issues, address social determinants of health using the recovery model.

**Responsibilities**
- Supports a high performance, multi-service team that provides specialized care for homeless and vulnerably housed individuals with complex illness.
- Supports and supervises administrative staff within the team, assists with interviewing and hiring new employees, coordinating program activities, establishing departmental goals, and completing staff performance appraisals.
- Ensures that services are planned, evaluated, implemented, monitored and delivered in accordance with professional standards, good operating principles, best practices and legislative requirements.
- Participates in cross-functional teams/committees on behalf of the Mission United Program, developing and implementing the short and long-term plans for service quality and continuity.
- Co-ordinates the delivery of and participates in the provision of a wide range of identified services to meet clients needs.
- Ensures that appropriate documentation and program administrative functions are maintained according to established policies and procedures.
- Attends meetings to develop common procedures, providing information to colleagues.
- Acts as a liaison between Mission United Program and other CMHA programs to facilitate internal integration.
- Represents the interests, philosophy, goals, and objectives of Mission United Program within and outside the agency.
- Coordinates staff resources including orientation, time off requests, education/training, tracking of performance reviews in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner & Clinic Lead.
- Assists in the completion of required reports for both internal and external reporting.
- Acts as a liaison between Mission United Program and specific departments such as EE, IT, Facilities and Finance to optimize workflow, maintain hub service delivery and ensure accountability practices are upheld
- Facilitates and monitors work in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner & Clinic Lead
- Ensures that the day-to-day services are planned, delivered, and evaluated in accordance with good operating principles, best practices and legislative requirements.
- Oversees the development, dissemination and biennial review (every 2 years) of Mission United Program policies and procedures.
- Plans & documents Mission United team meetings in a timely manner to guide business and operational work.
- Attends meetings as assigned and shares related information appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with the Nurse Practitioner & Clinic Lead and Mission United Program team to coordinate and submit accountability reports within required timeframes.
- Assists with other work as determined by the Nurse Practitioner & Clinic Lead

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education and a minimum of 5 years office management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a high paced environment.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to establish and build professional and credible working relationships within the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Outstanding team building, cooperation, interpersonal and motivational skills
- Ability to proactively identify existing or emerging issues and recommend solutions.
- Full proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluency in oral and written French is an asset
