BC Productions Inc is a talent payroll company that specializes in payments to union actors and musicians for Television and Radio commercials. The company has been around since 1985 and is in good standing with all Canadian talent unions. We are a small company that works closely together and operates within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.

BC Productions Inc is seeking a full-time, entry-level Payroll & Administrative Assistant. We are looking for someone who shares our strong work ethic, passion, enthusiasm, and eagerness for never missing a deadline.

We are within walking distance of Victoria Park station, and are a short bus ride from Main Street station. Free parking is also available at the office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Generate a large volume of cheque payments
- Type union talent contracts
- Prepare costings of session and residual payments
- Liaise with clients, talent, and talent agents; ensuring all queries are responded to in a professional and timely manner
- Preparation of invoices
- Maintain accurate records in talent database
- Assist with financial year end procedures, such as T4As
- Provide general administrative support (answering phones, filing, photocopying, organizing couriers etc.)

**Job Requirements**:

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically proficient with calculations and formulas
- Strong mathematical skills, with general knowledge in a bookkeeping/finance related role an asset
- Accurate and timely data entry skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines accurately under pressure
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Access
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Logical/analytical/critical thinker
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective, polite communication with clients and talent
- Ability to follow direction, with flexibility to shift priorities as needed to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrates compassion for colleagues and a willingness to assist others when required
- Punctual with a strong work ethic
