This position is based out of the Edmonton, AB office.
**Responsibilities**:
Talent Acquisition- Assist in the recruitment process through screening applicants and checking references when required- Create and manage postings via applicant tracking system (Workday, Indeed)- Gather resumes received from a variety of sources and maintain a “database” for all resumes by trade and region-
- Maintain ongoing communication with our project supervision to understand upcoming staffing needs and requirements based on the specific client and/or scope of work.- Establish and maintain professional networking relationships and outreach efforts with resources such as high schools, colleges, and trade schools.- Work closely with all other P&C teams to promote transfer of existing team members from project to project.- Participate with Nason cross functional teams in reviewing during the job close out process- Liaison with Indigenous Relations team- Attend virtual and in person career fairs
Onboarding- Enter safety tickets, resumes and other documents into Workday- Manage direct service providers (DSP), as covered by the Collective Agreement, including maintenance of DSP files, and the audit and action of required insurance or premium requirements through Workday- Send safety tickets to project site HSE- Send month end report to CLAC Jobs- Maintain Substance Abuse Program- Complete training request using CLAC training form and ready for submission- Call ACSA or CLAC to confirm tickets- Coordinates and assists in tracking of training requirements, apprenticeship programs for existing employees.- Verify all apprenticeship and journeyman tickets and input information in to “database” from AIT, ATI, and all other provinces
Labour Relations- Maintain SharePoint with current documents - collective agreements, pre-jobs, new hire packages per province - maintain naming convention for the pre jobs, MOA and LOU- Be able to build the necessary business and functional credibility and relationships that enable them to become a trusted business advisor at all levels in the organizations.- Support collective bargaining negotiations.- Proactively manage and enable a healthy environment, using data to identify emerging trends and define mitigations for potential future risks.- Advise and coach line leadership and fellow team members in positive employee relations proactive and reactive practices.
**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma or equivalent recruiting/HR experience in construction/ industrial setting- A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruiting crafts in the industrial sector- A broad range of human resources and recruiting knowledge within the construction industry- Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment- Must be a highly motivated and self-starting individual- Solid working knowledge of both provincial and federal labour law and regulations- Excellent communication skills- Ability and willingness to travel when required at times with mínimal notice- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task- Ability to work as a team across the multi-functional teams involved to make a project successful between for example - Operations, Cost, Safety, coordination with other HR hub teams, corporate HR, etc.- Knowledge of applicable labour law and regulations and fair labour standards- Must have valid driver’s license- Excellent computer skills, including experience working with Applicant Tracking System and HRIS software (Workday), and proficient with Microsoft suite - Word, Excel and Outlook
