**Who are we?**

National Fire Equipment Ltd. is an integrated supplier of fire sprinkler systems selling products to installing contractors in the new construction building and retrofit markets. With eight locations across Canada, our company is the country’s leading fire protection supplier offering our customers the best in product and customer support from coast to coast. We are seeking a driven and professional individual to manage the day-to-day requirements of our existing accounts at the front desk.

**What will you do?**
- Works closely with senior management on issues related to employment, including organizational development, recruitment & selection, retention, employee relations, and performance management
- Manages employment relations and ensures internal communication with all employees in regard to HR policies and initiatives
- Advises and supports managers and supervisors on recruitment and selection process, accommodation needs, employee discipline, and any other employee relations matters
- Manages the Company’s performance management processes and coaches managers and supervisors on conducting effective performance reviews
- Ensures the continuous development of the Company’s training and development initiatives
- Responsible for the orientation, onboarding, and benefits administration of all new employees
- Prepares, presents, and analyzes Human Resources specific metrics and statistics. Makes recommendations as it relates to the metrics (i.e., absenteeism reports, turnover reports, and options to overcome obstacles etc.)
- Manages time tracking, absences, and other employee information in collaboration with accounting & payroll
- Manages the Company’s WSIB programs and claims as they arise

**Who are you?**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management
- 5+ years’ experience in a related generalist or leadership role
- Knowledge and understanding of Ontario employment legislation; familiarity with all Canadian provincial employment legislation is considered an asset
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is considered an asset
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset
- Proactive and solution focused, able to think out of the box, provides solutions to drive organization forward, and takes ownership of all HR functions
- A hands-on HR Professional who has an innate ability to deal appropriately with employee’s challenges and a demonstrated commitment to the company’s philosophy and goals
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
