Human Resources Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Human Resources Manager will take charge by standardizing processes, implementing policies, and managing the day-to-day administration of the department. Additionally, you will act as a core business partner to the organization and advise on a variety of HR matters including talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, benefits, wellness, and training and development.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and manage the administration of HR rules, policies, procedures, and laws related to professional development, training, recruitment, selection, classification, compensation, benefits, disability management, management rights and responsibilities, performance management and recognition, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
- Implementing HRIS System (ADP Workforce Now)
- Nurture a positive working environment that values employees as individuals.
- Develop and support the implementation of strategies that foster a positive work culture to support employee satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement the organizations values, goals and strategies related to organization structure, staffing, retention, and growth.
- Create and manage an onboarding process to ensure successful integration of new employees and execute employee orientation for newly hired staff.
- Create and manage a standardized system for constructive and timely performance evaluations. (HRIS System implementation).
- Facilitate professional development opportunities, training, and certification activities for staff and management.
- Implement staff engagement, appreciation, and employee recognition activities to boost morale across departments and locations.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues escalating issues to legal counsel as appropriate.
- Manage administration of payroll, monthly reporting, annual and new hire enrolments.
- Conduct regular salary surveys and participate in the annual salary planning process to ensure competitive compensation ranges.
- Review and analyze relevant technologies and recommend optimal use of integrated systems.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance while recognizing employee contributions.
- Implement Health and Safety related awareness across the organization per ESA standards.
**You will be required to demonstrate the following**:
- Devise and implement a strategy of Change Management.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- CHRP strongly preferred.
- ADP Workforce Now experience is a definite asset
- Proven experience recognizing and resolving problems of a sensitive or political nature and analyzing complex employment situations, providing proposed action and alternatives.
- Experience managing a variety of simultaneous work projects to meet established timetables and commitments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing), in presentations, recommendations, policies, and correspondence to board members, directors, and employees Strong strategic thinking and process development skills.
- Above average ability to use Microsoft Office Functions (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as enterprise systems.
- Strong ethical leadership abilities.
- Strong people skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics & integrity, result oriented.
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and adapt quickly to change.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
