**Role Summary**:
The HR Coordinator provides support to the HR department for a wide variety of functions including but not limited to; recruitment and selection, temporary employees, Payroll, training, health and safety and employee relations.
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Completed post secondary education in HR, working towards CHRP
- 2+ years in fast paced manufacturing environment supporting multiple departments in full cycle HR practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) knowledge of Workday
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal, written
- Understanding and demonstrated skill working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment
- Must be able to work in a strict confidential environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provides guidance to employees by assisting in solving day to day concerns, utilizing the Magna Employee Charter while implementing the policies and procedures of the company.
- Supports recruiting process for hourly,contract and temporary employees by effective use of inhouse systems and procedures.
- Supports full cycle orientation process for all employees.
- Supports training ensuring successful completion through prescribed development plan of new and existing employees.
- Works with COVID screening, tracking, and related administrative duties.
- Supports payroll functions through reports, ADP updates and ensuring accuracy.
- Monitoring of job posting policy ensuring policy is followed effectively.
- Supports Performance Review process ensuring timely adherance to policy.
- Filing paperwork into Personnel files.
- Coordinate social events including communication, followup and event facilitation.
- Contributes to various Audits results and the subsequent Action Plans.
- Project driven work as directed by HR Manager.
**Core Competencies**:
- Analytically-minded with solid organizational and communication skills able to meet prescribed deadlines, sometimes under pressure
- Demonstrates skills to consistently achieve commitment and consensus from all stakeholders.
- Applies knowledge of Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Employment Standards Act, Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pay Equity Legislation and the Workers’ Compensation Act to duties and responsibilities.
- Works outside of regular administration hours when necessary to meet deadlines
**Physical Demands**:
- Works under general supervision of Supervisor or Designee.
- Wears all PPE as required
- Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change, lubricants, and vibrations.
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, computer work, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment
- Flexible for work location outside of Vaughan area
