**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
The Coordinator, Human Resources maintains and enhances the coordination of the delivery of a wide variety of HR services and programs in support of the HR team and TRCA staff, ensuring a high level of integrity and confidentiality
**Major Responsibilities**:
Recruitment and Selection
- Prepares recruitment-related documentation including job postings, offer letters, benefit enrollment, etc.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Provides support to Human Resources Business Partner and/or hiring managers on submitting hiring transactions and assists with the collection of required hire documentation, as required
- Develops, conducts, and maintains corporate on-boarding training for new and returning employees
**Compensation and Benefits**:
- Supports the annual Merit and COLA increase process through formatting and distribution of employee notification letters
- Acts as a first point of contact with respect to benefit coverage and eligibility questions, facilitates benefits on-boarding and provides/collects benefits enrollment documentation for eligible employees
HR Administration and Initiatives
- Supports the HR team with various HR related initiatives and/or program implementation, including, but not limited to; mass summer/seasonal hiring, HR projects, etc.
- Completes monthly, bi-weekly and ad hoc HR administration tasks to support organizational initiatives and information sharing (ex. Staffing Announcements, Staff Recognition website, HR website updates, contract end date reports, meeting minutes, scheduling, etc.).
- Provides direct administrative support to Senior Manager, Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer, as required
**What will you need to succeed**:
Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- 2+ years of experience providing HR support or coordination
- Ability to effectively communicate with tact and courtesy as well as writing in a concise, logical and grammatically correct manner
- Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of employment related legislation including, but not limited to Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint
