Summary of Position
Reporting to the Director of Resident Care, the Resident Coordinator is responsible for contributing to
McCormick being a caring, inclusive community in which everyone feels a sense of safety, belonging, purpose and well-being. This role will support the Nursing Department. It will contribute to the ‘face’ of McCormick, as the position will be based at both the front reception area of the home and the five resident home areas. The role will involve welcoming and supporting all who come in/out of the home. The Resident Coordinator is responsible for supporting management teams to comply with all policies and procedures of the organization, to create a safe environment for all residents/clients/visitors, and to maintain compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the
Code of Conduct and the Mission, Vision and Values of the McCormick Care Group. This is a non
- unionized position.

Shift is from 11:00am - 19:00pm M-F (10 shifts bi-weekly)

Background/Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to perform all duties through McCormick Care Group’s Guiding Principles of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Collaboration
- Exceptional work ethic with ability to attend work on a regular basis and maintain a regular schedule of 11:00am - 19:00pm, accepting that there may be occasional duties outside of these hours, to be determined based on needs
- Relevant experience / qualifications (e.g. Office Administration - Health Services Certificate)
- Conduct and appearance that is neat and professional
- Knowledge of leading practices in providing exceptional customer experience, and possessing a growth mindset toward receiving feedback and seeking continual improvement; be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve visitor, resident, and employee experiences.
- Experience using technology relevant to the role, such as Microsoft suite, Copy/Fax machine, etc.
- Ability to balance embracing past successes, strengths, and approaches with a mind to being flexible and evolving to meet future needs
- Ability to perform data management / data entry - digitally and/or paper
- Skilled at collaborating with managers and staff to successfully and collaboratively (where appropriate) execute on responsibilities and assigned tasks
- A current, clear, police record check with vulnerable sector clearance
