Reporting to the Senior Manager, RAP, the Residential Coordinator works with newly arrived GARS clients for a period six weeks after arrival to ensure they feel welcomed and helps them settle in their new environment. The position is responsible for coordinating **residential and boarding services** and the facilities. The position is also responsible for overseeing the facilitating of meals, housekeeping and inventory management and purchasing necessary supplies.

**This role requires hospitality experience
- such as providing and scheduling basics needs (food, essentials, linens, residence needs), inventory management, communicate with vendors for purchasing needed items. Please see Job Duties below for more.**

**Qualifications**:
Minimum level is a Community College Diploma preferably in Social Services, Counselling, Psychology, or related fields.
- Minimum of one year of experience in managing residents in boarding, shelters, hospitality and/or catering services within community services or non-profit sector
- High level of proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, and when interacting with both individuals and groups
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, CCLC staff, school staff and other partners, and establish cooperative relationships across various stakeholders
- Ability to read and authenticate client documents
- Ability to prepare standard reports, forms, and program statistics

**Job Duties**:

- Welcomes RAP clients upon arrival and direct them to designated rooms at JH or at the hotel/s
- Conducts orientations and training for clients with regards to using facilities at both temporary accommodation and specifically fire drill operations at the reception centre.
- Completes room preparation, linen distribution, and room assignment prior to arrival of clients.
- Monitors inventory of food, linen and cleaning supplies and purchase necessary goods required for the temporary accommodation as approved by the Manager/s
- Ensures the 3rd floor facility including the medical clinic are in order and clean.
- Addresses client complaints related to RAP services by referring them to RAP workers,
- Resolves any house related complaints brought forward by clients in house.
- Directs any medical concerns to the assigned RAP worker/ Health and Complex case services coordinator.
- Ensures household maintenance issues on the third floor are taken care of by the custodian or other maintenance workers.
- Supports the RAP team and the RAP clients during their move out.
- Oversees breakfast, Lunch and Dinner catered from the restaurant.
- Keeps records of clients’ movement when they are checking out and checking in the residential facility for overnight or longer.
- Collaborates with the logistics coordinator about purchasing of supplies, keep inventory, replenishing as necessary.
- Communicates promptly with day/night security guard/s for clients 'attendance at Reception Centre (temporary absence and return to the Reception Centre)
- Keeps record of client’s attendance and contacts when clients are visiting or stay with their relatives.
- Keeps contacts with the Restaurant(s) to ensure meals are cancelled or modify the meals as needed for clients.
- Ensures all invoices from vendors are properly, accurately and promptly received, verified and submitted in a timely manner.

Hours of work:
Ability to work in the shifts between 8:30am to 4:30pm and some overtime work may be required. Schedule will be assigned by Manager(s) as needed.

**Salary**: From $26.41 per hour
