Receptionist/administrative Assistant

**ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE**
Founded in 1977, the Italian Cultural Centre's mission is "To promote and share Italian culture, values, and heritage with all communities" finds itself as the focal point for all things Italian to the Italo-Canadian community and those wanting to experience Italian in the lower mainland.
**SUMMARY**
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Connect customers with the correct team members
- Perform invoicing, data entry, and various misc. administrative duties
- Provide support to team members as required/directed
- Ensure operation of the office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Prepare maintenance schedule
- Maintain Volunteer’s database
- Maintain Membership database
- Assist in filing and preparing mailings
- Manage office supplies, food/coffee/water stations, cleaning, and maintenance to make sure the office looks professional and organized every day.
- Send out, receive, and distribute local courier packages
- Other duties as assigned
- Process payments and refunds and provide advice and support for sales as required
- Register new students, collect payment and provide invoices to students and parents as required.
- Data entry in Quickbooks
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**Must-have**
- Minimum 1 - 2 Year administrative or customer service experience
- K-12 Secondary diploma
- Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- English communication skills - reading and writing
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects accurately and effectively
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
**Nice to have**
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience QuickBooks preferred
- Italian communication skills - speaking
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
