**The Company**:
Our mission at Thornhill Naturopathic Clinic is to treat patient health as an ongoing process, rather than targeting a single condition. The team works with our patients to develop customized treatments that support optimized long term patient health and wellness.
Our clinic currently has a team of two Naturopathic Doctors, a Massage Therapist, a Reiki Therapist, and a Homeopath. Our scope of practice includes diet and lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, I.V. therapy, bio-identical hormone therapy, environmental medicine, adjunctive cancer care, and lab testing for many conditions including food sensitivities and thyroid/hormone imbalances.
**The Opportunity**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Phlebotomy duties: drawing blood and preparing samples for lab pick-up.
- Analyzing urine samples using a dip stick and maintaining organized records of results.
- Taking patients’ vitals (i.e., prior to I.V. therapy).
- Administering in-house laboratory testing (H. Pylori, Quick Strep swabs, Glucose meter, etc.).
- Preparing I.V. therapy ingredients for the Doctor to administer using a sterile technique with the use of a fume hood.
- Preparing documents to be sent to partnering labs (i.e., Dynacare/LifeLabs).
- Managing lab and I.V. inventory supplies and preparing purchase orders.
- Managing and maintaining Naturopathic Clinic supplement inventory levels.
- Preparing purchase orders for required products and supplements using OUTSMART EMR.
- Responsibilities performed on an as needed basis:_
- Creating and maintaining organized patient files; effectively managing confidential patient information.
- Collecting/processing payments.
- Measuring and recording height and weight for all new patients.
- Preparing documents to be sent to partnering labs (i.e., Dynacare/LifeLabs).
- Laundry and clinic room cleanup.
- Other duties.
**Job Requirements**:
- Course/Certification in Medical Office Administration **required**.
- Course/Certification in Phlebotomy **required**.
- A minimum of 2-years of Medical Office Administration **required**.
- First Aid and CPR Certifications **required**.
- Holistic medicine experience is an asset.
- Retail experience in a health/supplements store is an asset.
- Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, and have the proven ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- Customer service focused.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills; over the phone and in-person.
- Must possess strong computer and social media skills. Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, etc.
**Schedule**:
- **Tuesday**: 10AM-8PM
- **Thursday**: 10AM-8PM
- **Potential for additional days and fill in as needed during staff vacations**
