LOFT Community Services is a unique and dynamic charitable organization that supports people living with complicated issues such as mental and physical health challenges, substance use challenges, poverty and homelessness. To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a **Full Time Permanent People and Culture Administrator**
**Job Summary**
The Human Resources People & Culture Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting a range of human resources functions.
The P&C Administrator provides a full range of administrative support to the P&C team, contributing to the smooth operations of the department.
The incumbent will respond to employee inquiries, oversee the calendar of events, maintain policies, prepare documentation and perform various administrative functions.
To excel in this role, the incumbent must possess advanced computer skills to, enabling them to tackle intricate data entry, form creation, and survey development. The HR P&C Administrator is entrusted with the management of administrative data and employee records.
They should be capable of independently seeing through assigned projects, demonstrating a high degree of organizational aptitude and resourcefulness, while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, the incumbent should be prepared to undertake special projects related to LOFT's operations.
**What You Will Do**
- Support the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team.
- Oversees and coordinates the P&C team calendar of events, managing priorities, bookings, and re-bookings as necessary.
- Provides administrative support for P&C meetings and committees.
- Assist in the organization and coordination of training programs, workshops, and employee development initiatives. Maintain training records and track employee participation.
- Create HR-related reports, resources, and communications materials.
- Conduct data entry & standardized data processing, track processes and information and maintain records as required.
- Administrative support to various team initiatives e.g., performance reviews, social events and team meetings, etc.
- Responds to general inquiries related to HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Responds to employee queries for ADP password resets, T4 requests and verification of employment letters.
- Assists with research, analysis, administration and implementation of programs and projects as required.
- Supports the execution of LOFT’s recognition awards and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with the maintenance and documentation of yearly and quarterly HR processes, including VSS, policy updates, etc.
- Provide back-up support as appropriate to other functions of the People & Culture team.
- Managing and facilitating effective communications within the organization.
- Responsible for conducting annual credential checks to maintain compliance with relevant standards.
- Overseeing and administering new hire paperwork to facilitate a seamless onboarding process.
- Providing support with reception duties and back-office administrative tasks in the absence of the back-office administrator.

**What You Bring**:
Must Haves
- Post-secondary diploma or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Previous experience in a similar role as an HR Administrator or HR Assistant is preferred.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and current trends.
- Familiarity with various HR processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations and DEI initiatives.
- Understanding of HR-related legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and meet set deadlines.
- Maintains a positive and proactive attitude.
- Service-oriented and capable of communicating with all levels of management with professionalism and tact.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills with a track record of precision and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality and tactfully handle sensitive issues.
- Cultural competency and an understanding of working within an anti-oppression framework.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders (individually and in groups)
