Who You Are

You are a service-oriented individual who is excited to be a part of a fast-growing organization that enables the best to be even better. You are a self-motivated Network Security Administrator. You are looking for the opportunity to provide your expertise to drive change within an exciting industry. You love working in a collaborative team environment, but also enjoy your autonomy to accomplish tasks and provide excellent service to our Support Centre team members. As an individual who is driven by excellence you are eager to contribute to the success of one of Canada’s Best Managed companies.

This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Toronto Support Centre. Reporting to the Manager, IT Security and Systems you will manage the cyber security and networking for new and existing dental practices at dentalcorp.

In this role, you will

- Be responsible for Security System Design and Implementation: Develop, upgrade, and implement security measures and controls. Design secure networks and systems.
- Monitor Systems: Regularly monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. This can be done by installing software that notifies the analyst of intrusions, watching for irregular system behavior, and by studying server and firewall logs to identify any unusual activity.
- Provide Risk Assessment: Conduct penetration testing, simulate attacks to identify vulnerabilities, perform risk analysis, and security assessments.
- Develop Security Standards and Best Practices: Guide the organization on security protocols, create and update the company's disaster recovery plan, provide training to staff about security risks and preventive measures.
- Stay Updated with Cybersecurity Trends: Cybersecurity is a constantly evolving field, with new vulnerabilities discovered on a regular basis. As a result, Cybersecurity Analysts need to be aware of the latest trends in security vulnerabilities, data breaches, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide Documentation and Reporting: Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause. Write comprehensive reports on their findings, and give technical and procedural recommendations for further securing the system.
- Be responsible for Compliance: Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations.

What we're looking for

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels.
- Proficient in firewall administration, operating system security, Internet security, and network security technologies and products.
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
- Expert understanding of cyber security protocols and procedures.
