**What you will do?**
- Engage with TSSA business areas to understand, define, and document business requirements and processes
- Administer and maintain all network hardware and equipment including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, servers and other network peripherals.
- Investigate, recommend, schedule and deploy network appliance, upgrades, repairs and improvements.
- Perform monitoring and analysis and improve the network performance
- Work with vendors and/or carriers during problem analysis/resolution as required
- Manage and improve advance security measures like vpn posturing, identity profiles & policy-sets, Downloadable ACL and DNS layer security
- Manage and monitor IPS & IDS, malware and url protection
- Provides design, development, testing, maintenance, delivery and support for the full life cycle of activities related to Systems and subscriptions in Azure Cloud environment.
- Aid in development of disaster recovery (DR) plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executables.
- Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Prepare and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting and statistically monitoring network and server performance and data.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of development efforts. Evaluate and recommend for purchase network hardware and software products.
- Develops, manages and reports on detailed project plans. Ensures effective corporate standard, system security, internal processing controls and audit controls are maintained.

**Technical Skills & Knowledge**
- Strong fundamental understanding of networking principles and technologies (TCP/IP, SNMP, NAT and PAT as well as Cisco IOS and both switch and router architecture)
- Experience with configuring and supporting VPN technologies for both site to site and remote access vpn.
- Experience with Active Directory, latest Windows servers
- Proficiency in documentation and ability to verbally articulate technical matters in lay terms
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience maintaining and configuring Cisco based firewalls ASA and next-gen firewalls)
- Experience managing virtualized systems and services hosted in a Azure cloud (Asset)
- Vendor Management experience (Asset)

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in a network/security administrator role.
- Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching, voice and wireless.
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is must
- Experience with Next-Gen firewalls, Identity Service Posturing, policies and BYOD will be an asset

**Educational & Professional Attainment**
- University degree or Diploma in Information Technology related to subfield of network and system administration or security
- Relevant network or security certifications like CCNA/CCNP preferred

**Organizational Structure**
- Network Administrator, IS reports to IT Manager.
- Network Analyst, IS has no direct reports
