**Job Summary**
- The Office of Government and Global Relations (GGR) leads Dalhousie’s global engagement and international strategy. Reporting to the Director of Global Research Engagement, the Global Graduate Student Recruitment Officer supports the Director in developing new approaches to recruit high-quality international students from a diversified group of source countries into Dalhousie graduate degree programs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of course-based Master’s (CBM) programs which are prioritized for promotion in key international markets.
- Together with key staff from GGR, Communications, Marketing & Creative (CMC), and the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) as appropriate, assist in planning, executing, and evaluating recruitment tactics and strategies to increase CBM enrollment from key geographies and demographics.
- Serve as a primary resource to recruitment agencies and coordinate Dalhousie’s participation in virtual and in-person international graduate recruitment events.
- Develop and maintain relations with course directors and administrators from key graduate programs and departments to inform strategy development, support recruitment events and coordinate the participation of key stakeholders as required.

**Note**
This position will require occasional work outside of regular business hours (early mornings/ evenings/ weekends); it may also involve occasional international travel.
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree, plus three to five years of related administrative experience in a post-secondary environment focused on student recruitment and event management (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Considerable experience with public speaking and one-on-one communication.

**Assets**

- Familiarity with Canadian graduate education systems.
- Knowledge of university programs in target international markets (including but not limited to China and/or India).
