**The Opportunity**:
The Research Assistant(s) will work on two projects: 1) Integrated Knowledge Translation Project exploring gig work/precarious employment and the risks for gender-based violence associated in Canada; and 2) Mixed-Methods Study exploring what healthcare professionals and parents/families understand, want and need to know about Invasive Meningococcal Disease and MenB vaccines/vaccination. The Research Assistant will perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following: REB submissions, project document development, participant recruitment and follow-up, data collection and analysis, correspondence, project organization, and project management assistance to the team as needed. Two positions are being hired.

**Responsibilities**:
Study Administration
- Process and submit project materials to Research Ethics Board (REB)
- Prepare and/or review project documents in collaboration with the Principal Investigator(s) and Project Manager(s), as applicable
- Contact Investigators, community partners, staff, and other team members to book meetings
- Recruit participants for research projects using approaches outlined in project protocols
- Participate in or support data collection (focus groups, interviews, surveys, etc)

Administrative Support
- Reply to routine correspondence and compose and edit letters and documents
- Attend, record and distribute minutes for meetings

Data management, analysis and report writing
- Conduct or support collection (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc) and analysis (qualitative coding, NVivo analysis, statistical, etc) of qualitative and/or quantitative study data
- File and manage study documents (interview/focus group guides, etc.), participant documents (consent forms, etc), data files (data entry, audio recordings, transcripts, etc), and other study-related materials
- Develop and maintain methods of tracking information through databases and spreadsheets

**Hours of Work**:
Monday - Sunday, 12 - 15 hours/week

**Your Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health services/social sciences or related field.
- Current graduate student in applied health sciences (or equivalent) or with demonstrated interest in knowledge translation.
- Completion of a research methods course or equivalent experience with qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research, and experience with formal review processes is preferred.
- Proficiency with data analysis software (NVivo, SAS, etc)
- Competencies in other languages is an asset.
