Part of the LCI Education network, LaSalle College is the largest bilingual college in North America. It brings together six specialized schools, including Fashion, Arts and Design; VFX and video games; Human sciences and techniques; Management and technologies; Hospitality & Tourism as well as an online training school and offers more than 60 programs attached to these schools.
Under the authority of the school administration, the main role of the administrative secretary is to perform the various functions of a school secretary, including customer service to students, which occupies a large part of her responsibilities. and coordination of the administrative work of the secretariat.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- He welcomes, informs and directs students at the school's reception desk by telephone and internal messaging;
- He keeps the agenda of the people with whom he collaborates up to date and organizes the activities related to their internal or external meetings;
- The incumbent composes documents, designs and writes memos and current correspondence;
- Researches and prepares synthesis of complex issues and questions;
- He keeps the deadlines up to date and checks that they are respected;
- He draws up the minutes of the meetings he attends and ensures the necessary follow-up;
- He communicates the information falling within his competence;
- He updates the data that influence the department's budgets and produces reports on request according to established procedures;
- He advises the personnel on the administrative language as well as on the presentation to be adopted in correspondence and in the documents to be produced;
- He participates in the development of the college's filing system and is responsible for the department's document management;
- He uses the information and communications technology tools made available to him in connection with the work to be carried out;
- If necessary, she performs any other related task
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Training
- Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with an option related to this position or an attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience relevant to the position.
Beyond the basic requirements, you will enjoy this position if you enjoy contact with students and have their success and college life at heart. Communication skills and an appreciation of teamwork are also essential to this role.
- Excellent front-line customer service skills;
- Excellent oral and written expression and comprehension in French and English;
- Dynamism and energy;
- Knowledge of the administrative procedures of teaching, an important asset;
- Advanced knowledge of the software used (Word, Excel and Outlook);
- Knowledge of CLARA software is desirable;
- Excellent team player.

**Salary scale for unionized administrative secretary position**: $21.14/hour to $24.38/hour
