Are you a detail-oriented, creative and passionate compensation professional who is committed to equity and fairness in compensation practices? PHSA is seeking a Manager, Compensation and Organization Design (COD) to lead a growing team of compensation professionals. Reporting to the Director, Compensation and Organization Design, the Manager, COD will be responsible for leading pay files (compensation at hire, equity, in-range adjustments, add-pay, etc.), compensation projects such as collective agreement or non-contract performance increase implementation, and leading the COD support team functions of admin, intake, tracking and reporting.
Compensation and Organization Design is a key function in the People and Culture team at PHSA. The Manager, COD will be accountable to ensuring fair and equitable compensation within PHSA in accordance with provincial frameworks established by the Public Sector Employer’s Secretariat Counsel (PSEC) and administered by the Health Employer’s Association of BC (HEABC). **What you’ll do**
- Provides day-to-day leadership to a team of compensation professionals and support staff.
- Leads and implements compensation practices that are aligned with organizational values and in accordance with provincial frameworks.
- Ensures pay practices maintain fairness and equity for all staff.
- Delivers high quality work that meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
- Drives innovation and creativity in compensation practices at PHSA to meet the growing needs of the organization.
- Manages compensation projects, meeting deadlines and deliverables.
- Implements the Diversity, Inclusion and Equity priority actions related to compensation practices at PHSA
- Supports team members on their learning journey related to DEI, Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism
**What you bring**
**Qualifications**:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Masters’ Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related discipline, supplemented with five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in Human Resources disciplines. Holding a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is an asset.

- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Works collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Fosters creativity, innovation, and systems thinking in strategic planning and large scale change initiatives.

- Displays comprehensive knowledge of compensation practices, project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.
- Uses well-developed leadership, customer relations and problem-solving abilities to lead a variety of complex, diverse and integrated services and initiatives and to achieve desired results within critical timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners including management and staff at all levels, government agencies, other health authorities, and external stakeholders and others as applicable.
