Sherwood Park, Canada A&B Rail Services Full time

**This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.**

As an Administrative Assistant, the job provides a wide range of administrative and support services to the Office, reporting to the General Manager of Operations.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Account Payable tasks, such as; fulfilling Purchase Order Requests from field employees, reviewing/processing incoming vendor invoices, managing outstanding Purchase Orders, and reconciling/coding company cred cards.
- Accounts Receivable tasks, such as; gathering daily force accounts from field employees, preparing billing summaries, assist with any delinquent accounts and inquiries from customers.
- Payroll Tasks, such as; gathering timesheets and process bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees. Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Prepare Employee Change Forms.
- Provides general administrative and/or analytical support including preparation of announcements, creating minutes, and document distribution
- Help with travel arrangements, such as booking hotels and flights.
- Arrange for all mail and courier pickups.
- Filing and other administrative/office duties as required
- May perform other related duties, as assigned

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES**:

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and focus are required.
- Be a Self Motivator
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
- Effective and proven organizational skills
- Must be able to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in high pressure and demanding work environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role or equivalent.
- Experience in Account Receivable and Account Payable
- AccPac knowledge is an asset
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with Field Glass, Bid 2 Win, and/or Sage Products is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated customer service focus
- Demonstrate ability to perform maturely and professionally ensuring complete confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
- Applicant must be willing to work weekends or evenings as needed
