Mississauga, Canada Q&C Full time

Reporting to VP Finance and Admin. with a dotted line to the President, the **Human Resources Generalist** is responsible for:

- Providing leadership to the human resources function;
- Acting as a resource to employees and management on all HR functions; and
- Initiating and keeping track of human resources-related activities.

The following is a list of duties and responsibilites of this position. Activites with greater time allocation are placed towards the top of the list.

**Human Resources**:

- Develop and/or maintain, in conjunction with the leadership team, Q&C’s human resources and people strategy and framework to support company growth;
- Provide employee relations support to all employees at all levels of the organization;
- Provide human resources advice/coaching to the senior management of the organization;
- Assist with the recruitment strategy and provide support and act as a backup for the Human Resources Recruitment Specialist, as required;
- Administer, schedule, and facilitate the onboarding process for all new employees in tandem with management;
- Provide expertise in efforts to strengthen workforce plans, build redundancy and anticipate succession needs within the business through succession planning with the leadership team;
- Provide expertise in efforts to define and promote the company’s culture of employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and quality;
- Work with leaders to refine roles and responsibilities across the organization as Q&C continues to grow;
- Provide support and guidance through the performance management process each year;
- Ensure compliance in company operations;
- Work in tandem with employment lawyers and/or consultants when conducting terminations, layoffs or other changes in employment relationships;
- Guide managers through FOSA performance management process to ensure proper documentation and coaching are provided to their employees;
- Assess approach to be taken when an investigation is required;
- Research and lead the adoption of HR related technology (such as performance management, recognition, etc.), as required;
- Participate in the benefits renewal process, as required.

**Administrative**:

- Complete all Human Resources administrative duties and maintain employee and benefit files and databases;
- Administrative duties including letters of employment, photocopying, scanning and carrying out special requests;
- Assist in managing projects via scheduling, reminders and ensuring deadlines are met;
- Office management duties as assigned.

**Other**:

- Participate in the Health and Safety, Fire Warden and Emergency committees;
- Help plan and coordinate wellness programs and company events;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree, preferred
- Post-secondary degree an asset;
- CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset

**Experience**:
Minimum five (5) + years’ experience in a human resources generalist role. Consulting and/or pharmaceutical background is an asset. Excellence in developing and executing corporate strategy.

**Computer Aptitude**:

- Skilled in MS Office including, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook (or equivalent;
- Previous experience with human resource management systems an asset;
- Willing to learn new programs.
