The Inventory Analyst is responsible for utilizing advanced planning, forecasting and replenishment techniques to drive sales, maintain the right in-stock levels, fine-tune forecast accuracy, right size on-hand inventory, and develop efficient procurement processes for accurate supply planning. Key activities include building a demand plan, monitoring forecast against inventory, and analyzing network inventory position and order patterns to provide recommendations on replenishment strategies. The role is responsible for executing key business activities for supply chain, such as new item launches, demand planning, forecasting promotional activity, item discontinuations, etc. as well as executing day-to-day planning activities
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**- **Build a bottom-up demand plan for all imported finished goods
- Understand Renin’s current supply chain gaps, create and present solutions and develop processes
- Utilize sales forecasts, sales orders, on-hand inventory and warehouse constraints to develop replenishment strategies for finished goods
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Product Development to understand active products, sell through rates, and long-term market strategies and business plans
- Develop replenishment strategies to maintain high in-stocks on key strategic items, while depleting inventory for slow moving and discontinuing items
- Identify opportunities to streamline product flow and drive waste reduction
- Work very closely with Customer Service and Sales to communicate backorders, in-stock dates and item availability. Maintain inventory levels and replenishment plans such that inventory and costs are minimized while a superior customer service level is maintained
- Maintain planning parameters including safety stock levels, vendor MOQs and lead times
- Execute and manage purchase orders for procured finished goods from offshore vendors. Manage MRP planned purchase and transfer orders
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline
- APICS certification an asset
- **3 to 5** years of supply chain experience, focused on forecasting, planning, inventory management and/or procurement
- Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and theories
- Experience working with a major ERP system for forecasting/planning. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV an asset
- Strong technical proficiency (MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work with and combine large data sets from varied platforms in order to perform a complex analysis and simplify the output for business teams
- Enthusiastic, positive person who embraces and facilitates change with a sense of urgency and persistence.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
