**How You'll Perform the Role**
This Analyst position has primary responsibilities for the accounting for inventory, periodic set-up and cost roll for new items, monthly inventory reconciliation, analysis of production variances associated with inventory adjustments, month-end and year end physical count, and publishing of periodic reports. The position, based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, reports to the Financial Controller.
- Provide financial reporting and analytics to the Brampton finance and leadership team for inventories across three manufacturing facilities.
- Improve the cycle count process, set the appropriate frequency to achieve the desired cycles in a year, and work with the warehouse management to design and fully support the annual physical count, external audit, and analytics of the count results.
- Identify areas to improve controls through business process changes, process monitoring and financial reporting / analytics.
- Asist in the development and then the execution of improved inventory process.
- Develop reports and analytics to evaluate financial and operational performance of inventory management to include monthly inventory reconciliation, slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory analytics. These analytics include all Brampton inventory locations and warehouses, production areas, off-site warehouses, and inventories consigned to customer locations.
- Contribute towards maintaining a strong, cost-effective controls environment ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and reporting regulations.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.

**What We Need From You**
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 3 - 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience building more complex financial models for manufacturing - financial reporting and variance analysis.
