**JOB SUMMARY**
The Human Resources Manager must perform a range of duties supporting managers, employees, and HR staff. The duties consist of policy implementation, training, recruitment, labour relations, education, employee relations, coaching, and other HR programs. The HR Manager will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice using best practices and act as a liaison between employees, management, and the employer.
Our managers work full time on site. Flexibility may be required to complete training days or based on seasonal needs. Notice will be given in advance.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes.
- Create and support managers in training programs and performance management programs.
- Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
- Perform interviews, screening, and recruit for entry level, professional, and technical job openings. Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions.
- Administer appropriate orientation and training for new and returning team members.
- Support management in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
- Provide resolutions and support to employees.
- Maintain employee benefits program.
- Administer and record employee recognition and incentive programs.
- Recommend, develop, and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual and electronic filing systems. (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, HRdownloads).
- Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions. Plan, organize, and attend recruitment fairs as requested.
- Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations.
- File WSIB claims and government remittances.
- Provide research as requested.
- Plan and organize staff events and recreational activities.
- Keep job descriptions and HR documents current.
- Maintain knowledge on current regulations and legislation.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in human resources is required.
- CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
- Highly motivated individual with proven initiative.
- Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas required (recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits).
- Experience with ADP software preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Presentation skills required.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
