The Catholic Centre for immigrants (CCI) has been serving refugees and immigrants for more than 65 years. CCI is a bridge between the 7,000 immigrants and refugees who come to Ottawa each year and the community. We provide programs and services to help newcomers settle and integrate. We also work in the community to promote the value of a diverse and more welcoming community for all.

**Job Summary**

Under the direction of the Manager of the Reception House, the **Program Coordinator **will support the management, planning, and implementation of programs and activities, for the smooth operation of the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP), as well as provide support with staff supervision, HR procedures, budget planning, implementing strategies, and other responsibilities as required by the organization and the program manager.

**Responsibilities**:(include but not limited to)
- Assist the program manager with overseeing program functioning
- Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers, including HR tasks
- Coordinate staff working schedules in accordance with the program needs
- Implement outreach strategies, to enhance programs and services
- Identify, build, and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of program frameworks, such as new programming initiatives, standardized program processes, and outcomes, research on client needs, gaps, and trends
- Support the Program Manager in seeking funding opportunities and preparation of funding proposals
- Maintain accurate service records and program documentation
- Provide program reports and statistical information as required
- Participate in meetings and activities that promote understanding of newcomers
- Support the communication for the program through media relations and social media; as well as enhance positive relations between staff, the organization, and relevant external stakeholders,
- Ensure all staff are kept informed of all ongoing work-related volunteer programs, as well as support volunteer processes and database
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and maintain agendas, as needed
- Ensure the effective use of technology for all operations (video conferencing, presentations, etc.)
- Coordination of other activities as assigned by the program manager.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary/ University degree with a minimum of 2 years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Program Coordinator experience and demonstrated ability to deliver program outcomes on time and to a high standard considered an asset.
- Experience in supervising and training staff, as well as budgeting and financial analysis, and reporting abilities
- Good knowledge of the Settlement sector and work with refugees
- Fluency in oral and written English. French and other languages is an asset
- Demonstrated sensitivity to other cultures and to newcomer communities
- Excellent negotiation and marketing skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Active listening and capacity to communicate empathetically
- Ability to work independently and on a flexible schedule
