**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Director, the Technical Project Management Office is responsible for the delivery of operational and strategic projects and system-wide initiatives to enable, advance, and scale OpenText’s Cloud business and operations, rationalize our data center footprint, and coordinate Information and Data Privacy security audits. This role is for a technical program management leader who can define, implement, oversee, and optimize scalable processes to streamline delivery and deliver positive outcomes for initiatives that require cross-functional team alignment across OpenText.

Reporting to the VP, Chief Digital Office PMO, the Director, Technical PMO is the senior point of contact between Cloud Services, Engineering, IT, and other line-of-business leaders and is responsible for ensuring on-time, budget, and high-quality delivery of project investments. Within the scope of the role is managing over 15 project management professionals located globally, improving the technical project methodology, aligning to various delivery styles across CDO, managing the PPM tool, and effectively reporting to senior leadership. The Technical PMO is a centralized service and provides project expertise to all project implementations within the approved Program of Record. The Technical PMO oversees more than 50 active projects at any given time.

- Managing multiple priorities and setting clear expectations for your team
- Assessing portfolio activities and comparing them to available resources and constraints
- Working closely with aligned business partners in the development and execution of defined strategies with a focus on cloud
- Managing the project governance and methodology and evolving the PPM tool
- Helping create, populate, automate, and manage metrics dashboards on an on-going basis, identifying and following through data-driven business and operational improvement opportunities
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports
- Recommending/taking action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems
- Providing visibility to team impediments/risks and helping eliminate them
- Establishing strong relationships with senior management rooted in trusted delivery and high-quality results
- Providing effective project communication and governance plans to Executives and business partners
- Working with other PMOs across the organization to align on processes and delivery methodology
- Inspiring and motivating direct and indirect Portfolio and Project Managers

**WHAT IT TAKES**:

- Minimum BS, CS, or equivalent experience (MBA ideal)
- 15+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a management or program management position
- Proven track record of successful team/business operation scaling and project/program management of complex, cross-functional, large implementations
- Experience working in multiple program and project management methodologies, BI, and collaboration tools (OLAP, Atlassian, PMP, CPMG, and ITIL are an asset)
- 15 + years of demonstrated success in managing IT projects across multiple systems, of varying degrees of complexity.
- 15 + years of proven abilities related to project management with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced working environment.
- Experience working in a complex, matrix, fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
