Director of Engineering Opportunity

Amico Clinical Solutions, a leading provider of innovative medical devices, is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our team of mechanical engineers and designers. Located in Richmond Hill, ON, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of medical device design and development.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project scope, design control documentation, quality, and scheduling alignment.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems, documented on Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.
  • Lead design control procedures to meet regulatory requirements and streamline product design processes.
  • Establish and modernize engineering processes and tools to optimize performance.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure direct reports follow quality system procedures and possess a broad range of medical device design and development skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in medical device product design and development.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Experience with design of medical devices and ISO quality management systems an asset.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and strong computer skills.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
