**Scope of Position**:

- Salaried, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Hybrid Work System: 20 Mural Street, Richmond Hill, ON + Work From Home

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields;
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical product owner, software developer, or other hands-on role, which will enable you to communicate with relevant stakeholders at eye-to-eye level;
- Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to sustained growth, engagement, and customer success;
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts, algorithms, and data structures;
- Experience in hardware or similar products;
- Ability to write detailed & high-quality product requirements;
- Ability to explain complex requirements in simple words, highly communicative (both written and verbal);
- Experience in driving collaboration across multiple disciplines - Product, UX, Engineering, QA;
- Experience in using modern prototyping tools to communicate your ideas efficiently;
- Experience with creating and optimizing user onboarding journeys;
- In-depth knowledge of agile software development methodologies;
- Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle;
- Working knowledge of product development process;
- Excellent knowledge of user-centred design principles;
- Experience working with embedded solutions is a significant advantage;
- Exposure to imaging and computer vision would be an asset;
- Working knowledge of SaaS and Cloud technology would be an asset;
- Self-driven and organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple initiatives;
- Charismatic and engaging personality that will engage developers with the vision of the product;
- Customer-facing experience would be preferred;
- Experience with Jira/ Confluence;
- Strong, dedicated work ethic;
- Flexibility to manage time zone difference with international teams;
- Eligibility to work in Canada;
- Some international travel may be required.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Director, Customer Success & Application Engineering, the **Technical Product Owner** will work cross-functionally with distributed teams and stakeholders and collaborate on the execution of projects and programs that deliver value for our customers and support;
- Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development;
- Work as the key liaison and bridge between product managers and development teams;
- Guide technical teams to derive and define technical product requirements from business needs;
- Break down requirements into incremental value-add deliveries such as epics and stories making sure all are documented;
- Maintain frequent communication with the business to understand needs, relay progress and resolve production issues;
- Align customer needs with the company product road map to optimize synergies;
- Create, maintain and prioritize the backlog based on the overall strategy and business objectives;
- Facilitate and understand the engineering challenges to enable engineering teams to work as productively and efficiently as possible;
- Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development.
