**TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE**:
- New Brunswick & New England
This position is based out of our office in Shediac, NB.
Reporting to the Sales Director - Eastern Canada, the Technical Sales Representative is accountable for technical sales and business development of all Armtec manufactured and distributed infrastructure products within the region. This role is a full-time outside technical sales position where frequent overnight travel is required.
**Principal Accountabilities**:
- Works closely with the Sales Director, to develop sales and business plans. Achieving sales targets and growth objectives.
- Oversees business and project development, identifying to securing opportunities and contracts.
- Manage customer inquiries, maintain and strengthen customer relations through site visits, field demonstration of the valued added of our products and services utilizing a hands-on approach.
- Prospect and identify selling opportunities and expand market base.
- Evaluate and provide technical service and guidance to the design and construction of Armtec products.
- Negotiates agreements and solves problems by offering optimal product solutions.
- Participates in various events, conferences and exhibitions, as required.
- Works closely with engineering, estimating and customer service representatives.
- Must maintain a daily customer management report with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
**Education and Knowledge**:
- 3-5 years experience in construction, consultancy or construction materials sales to contractors and/or relevant technical sales and business development experience
- Post secondary education in Engineering or Civil technically related field (CET or P.Eng designation), considered an asset
- Experience working for a pipe seller / reseller, considered an asset
- Broad technical background or strong technical aptitude; understanding of contract language and specifications; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid organizational, time and priority management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Successful in fast paced environment and continually adapt to change
- Valid and clean drivers abstract
- Bilingual in French and English
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Efficient, reliable with attention to detail and strong work ethic
