**We are hiring a Bilingual Human Resources Specialist for the Ottawa branch.**

**Summary of Role**:
The Human Resources Specialist will provide HR expertise in employee relations, recruiting, and administration. In this role you will work closely with the District Manager and Area HR Manager to ensure staff levels are maintained. You will be a first point of contact for guard employees in the HR department.

Reporting directly to the Area HR Manager, the HR Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of human resources functions and is a critically important member of our HR and Operations teams.

**Requirements**:

- Completed a college or University certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources
- Be able to work on your own in the office as needed
- Enjoy administrative tasks, tracking licenses, employee correspondence, letters, working in Human Resources Management Systems
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment that involves continuous, high-volume recruitment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to keep complete confidentiality
- Must be able to speak and write in English and French
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, handling multiple tasks concurrently and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 or above

**RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited to**:

- Conduct on-boarding and off-boarding activities for guard personnel. This includes preparing and maintaining guard personnel files, maintaining information in the HRMS, and serving as the primary point of contact for guards as it relates to all Human Resources Management at the branch level
- Ongoing recruiting, screening, and interviewing to ensure all hiring functions are performed to standard and to achieve a positive outcome with guard placements for the District Manager
- Attend job fairs as required
- Organize, create, and distribute weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports. Utilize the HRIS system to identify individuals for placement purposes and to gain information on guards such as lists of available guards, inactive guards, licensing, etc.
- Serve as a point of contact for guards in all matters related to payroll and benefits administration, following up promptly on all queries
- Serve as a go-to HR resource for the District Managers, who are the primary point of contact for guards from an operations standpoint
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Area HR Manager including assistance to other branches or special projects.
- Willing to learn how to do a weekly orientation and training session online, if needed

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
