Reporting to the Director, Business and Economic Development Services, the purpose of the Partnerships and Business Services Officer is to provide strategic support to the Business and Economic Development Services branch as it relates to project management, communications, direct service to business, inter-governmental relations and general branch support on priority files. **Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic advice and develop initiatives related to business retention and expansion, investment attraction, service delivery and other campaigns on an as needed basis
- Support development of communications campaigns targeted at all facets of the services extended through Business and Economic Development Services (including, but not limited to, investment attraction, business expansion and retention, downtown revitalization, tourism, and others as needed)
- Support advocacy initiatives related to inter-governmental files as directed by various senior staff within the corporation
- Lead in branch for data sourcing, analysis, research and distribution

**Requirements**:

- University degree in business, communications, public relations or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in economic development, public relations, communications or equivalent experience
- Collaborative work spirit and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of responsibilities
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work flexible hours occasionally and in various locations
