Pacificom is seeking a Business Development Manager to join and help further grow our booming Systems and Technology team. The position will focus on creating new Security, Unified Communications, Wireless, and Audio-Visual business opportunities for corporate, government, and educational sectors across Vancouver Island.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop new business opportunities for Nurse Call, Patient Wandering, Security (Card Access, CCTV, Analytics), Telephone Systems/Unified Communications, Wireless, Communications Cabling, Sound, and AV solutions
- Work closely with our design & engineering team to develop and design solutions to meet customer requirements
- Work with private businesses and public sector agencies to educate, inform and secure sales
- Build project quotations and write proposals to showcase our solutions to prospective clients
- Provide consulting services to clients as needed in the design, specifying and writing of key project documents
- Achieve assigned sales targets and objectives through the provision of solutions-based approaches
- Build relationships with specification designers and consultants in the industry to obtain pre-approval for our products and solutions
- Keep current with new products and developments in the industry by attending shows, conferences and training seminars
- Assist with marketing initiatives, such as physical brochures, website, social media/online communications

**Desired Skills and Experience**

**Basic**
- 3 years sales experience, preferably in the construction sector (Communications, Security, Structured Cabling, or Electrical)
- Read and understand construction drawings
- Post-Secondary Education with a focus in business, marketing, and/or sales
- Canadian citizen
- Able to work independently to design and execute a strategic sales process
- Friendly, charismatic persona to build new client relationships and strengthen existing
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to organize and track sales information through a CRM
- Excited and interested in designing/building complex integrated solutions that encompass many separate aspects of technology into one cohesive system
- Fluent in English
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and personal vehicle

**Advanced**
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience with responding to formal documents such as RFPs
- Knowledge of construction estimating software such as Accubid
- General network design experience in the UC/Wireless/AV/telecommunication industry dealing with VoIP, IP Protocols and networking hardware would be considered a plus

**Compensation**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Commission

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
