**JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Wagering Operations Centre, this position is responsible for overseeing the stop betting and officialling of Woodbine/Mohawk races, Alliance tracks and Australia as well as providing administrative duties and support to the Manager, Wagering Operations. This role will also be instrumental in providing accurate and reliable betting information thru the preparation and distribution of programs changes to Mutuels, Off-Track Betting/Alliance & Horse Player Interactive (HPI).

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Generating and creating all the information related to all WEG, Alliance tracks, Australia tracks & Japan tracks for wagering purposes in the tote system.

2. Responsible for communicating with judges and officials from the various tracks and the scratching of any horses from wagering.

3. Responsible for the stopping of betting and officialling of races related to all WEG, Alliance, Australia & Japan tracks.

4. Receive program changes (weather, track conditions, scratches, etc) for all live and simulcast programs. Distribute to Manager(s), Wagering Operations to approve and then distribute to Champions Off-Track Betting/Alliance, Customer Service & HPI.

5. Advise Amtote, Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency & Horse Player Interactive of any late scratches for all live and simulcast race cards where applicable. Advise the Broadcasting dept. of all late changes for live race cards.

6. Prepare and/or obtain and verify reports such as Daily Handle Report, Cheque Cashing lists/weekly Cheque recap, teller overages to the Daily Double pool & reports requested by Managers and distribute accordingly.

8. Answer all incoming phone calls and direct the calls to appropriate personnel or departments including dispatching Amtote personnel to resolve machines issues on-track at Woodbine and Mohawk.

9. Perform regular office duties such as typing, faxing, copying, supply maintenance, mail distribution as requested by management.

10. Prepare cheques for winning pari-mutuel wagers as requested by Pari-Mutuel staff/HPI Supervisors.

11. Data entry for large wagering cancellations from customers.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Basic knowledge of the horse racing industry and wagering
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to solve problems in a high paced environment

**Skills**:

- Data-entry
- Knowledge of MS Office and advanced computer skills
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Sound knowledge of English language (written and verbal)

**Education and Experience**:

- 1 - 3 years experience in horse racing industry
- Post Secondary Education
