Anderson Craft Ales Ltd. is a family-owned craft brewery opening in London, Ontario. We have a passion for making (and drinking) great beer, and are looking for another like-minded individual to join our team.

We are looking for a **Taproom and Events manager** who is passionate and knowledgeable about craft beer to promote our beer through our taproom and outside events, as well as maintaining our social media presence. The ideal applicant will need to be reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to customer needs. Most of all you must be a hard worker with a friendly and outgoing attitude that our customers will be happy to work with.

Core Responsibilities:
**Marketing**:

- Managing social media accounts and responsible for content generation
- Coordinating ordering, display, and sale of merchandise
- Assist with sales review, merchandising, and promotions development
- Work in cooperation with management to develop promotional and marketing materials for community, private and charitable events
- Must be familiar with all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

**Taproom**:

- Lead and manage the taproom team and in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed, providing support and training
- Fostering a positive, fun, and safe environment for the hospitality team
- Training new and existing staff in proper and safe techniques for service, opening and closing, and cleaning
- Drive leadership of their team, including product knowledge, scheduling, performance management, reviews
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including Health & Safety Guidelines
- Handle guest feedback and react quickly and professionally in person and online
- Scheduling and communicating with various requests for events in our taproom and overseeing the successful fulfillment of such events
- Assist customers with inquiries, tastings, food & beverage service, and brewery tours
- Facilitate efficient and effective communication between FOH & BOH

**Community Engagement & Event Coordination**:

- Experience planning and coordinating a variety of events, including corporate events, beverage shows, beer festivals, private and charitable events, as well as other large-scale outdoor and indoor events
- Manages and/or coordinates the operation of internal and external events
- Keep an organized, shared event calendar that includes all pertinent information
- Meeting with potential clients looking for event space and discovering their event needs and how we can best serve them
- Seeing an event through to its conclusion to ensure it runs smoothly and meets our client's needs, as well as addressing any problems that may arise before or after the event
- Communicate regularly with management concerning community engagement activities
- Provide analysis of events and provide direction on future events. Communicate and coordinate with clients on booking requirements for private events

**Human Resources Management**:

- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, & performance management of all direct reports
- Monitors and approves timesheets, vacation, sick time, lieu time and overtime for all staff under direct supervision.

**Attributes & Certifications**:

- Love and knowledge of craft beer
- Cicerone or other beer training considered a strong asset
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as external contacts
- Happy working with a team, and comfortable working without supervision
- Ability to work safely, ability to stand long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift 25 kgs and maneuver kegs
- Smart Serve required
- First Aid/CPR, an asset
- Drivers License required
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for our customers with exceptional customer service, ethics, and high expectations for quality
- Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and public speaking.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with a high degree of professionalism at all times
- Strong willingness to learn on the job and perform in stressful situations
- Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
- Expert planning, coordination, and organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
