Position Overview

Fresh Start Foods has an exciting Leadership opportunity. This Senior Leadership role will lead our sales and marketing efforts to Gordon Food Service across Western Canada, as well as Fresh Start’s National Accounts. Based in Richmond, BC and reporting to the General Manager, you will manage and grow our business with your team based throughout Western Canada. As a food service expert, your depth and experience will be a catalyst to Fresh Start strategy to lead the fresh produce business in Western Canada.

**Responsibilities**:

- Grow and develop our GFS sales teams’ knowledge and capabilities of selling value added produce into Broadline and customers;
- Develop and maintain a training program for the sales team at the various levels of skill and experience;
- Educate, coach and mentor the sales team through formal and on the job training;
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the produce and food service distribution business.
- Work closely with the GFS produce teams, you will determine and manage all levels of pricing in the region and with customers;
- Develop and maintain annual marketing plans and strategies, including sales

promotions, POS materials, new product development and other methods used in the broadline operations; and
- Prepare and manage the development and execution of annual budget and fiscal tools used to measure performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven Sales Leadership - clearly your strongest attribute - there is passion in your message, impeccable follow up skills and you practice text book accurate sales processes.
- Coach, mentor; grow, develop and performance manage your team into strong leaders in the markets they serve.
- Use your analytic skills to build various sales action plans across western markets.
- Ability to captivate your audience with your presentation and style, whether one on one or in a group.
- Demonstrated external and internal customer sales and service skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening skills - understand and reflect accurately on the message.
- Solid administrative skills - accurate with information and transactions.
- Team player; actively participates to create and execute on team goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Google platforms.
- Demonstrated portfolio of Marketing Leadership, including market analysis with strategic outcomes, promotions with proven ROI, pricing management that provides the best sales/profit ratio and creativity that is unique and groundbreaking.
- Able and willing to travel.
