**About The Role**:
The Administrative Coordinator - Legal (Litigation Practice Associate) works under the direction of the Director of Litigation Practice to maintain, improve, and implement litigation practice management best practices across the organization, specifically related to the creation of a learning culture within the Program (Litigation) team. They provide administrative support to the Litigation Practice Team and assist other program areas as needed, including the annual integration of Articling and Law Students. In addition, this position works with the Legal Admin Assistants (LAAs) across Ecojustice offices to ensure administrative excellence and consistency throughout the organization.

This role will impact Ecojustice's Program Priorities by:

- Maintaining, improving, and implementing best practices of litigation practice management by assisting the Director of Litigation practice and the program team in organizing, managing, and developing better filing systems, helping create consistency in workflow, and acting as the team liaison within the department and across the organization.
- Administers and assists with the creation of a continuing legal education program and legal mentorship program and oversees the administration of the Program Team’s training, including maintaining a budget, sourcing training recommendations, tracking completion, and implementing training (scheduling, preparing training materials, setting up meeting rooms electronically and in person, etc.)
- Oversees and assists with the creation of a legal mentorship program, including the administration of the program (tracking, follow-up, maintenance, reporting), and the coordination of participants.
- Assists Managing Lawyers, and liaises with the People & Culture team with student hiring & onboarding including knowledge of provincial bar association guidelines.
- Provides full-cycle administrative support including calendar coordination, meeting organization, travel arrangements, data management, expense reporting, and minute taking.

- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in financial processes, with experience in budgeting
- Knowledge of office operations, procedures, and best practices
- General knowledge of IT systems: environment, integration, and hardware
- MS Office Suite, including proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- An aptitude for learning new software programs and web-based technologies
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to address issues proactively
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion and establish trusting, collaborative relationships inside Ecojustice and beyond
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variable workload, and competency in handling multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to manage up when needed, coordinating the work of those in parallel to you and above you
