IT Support Specialist

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring our IT systems run smoothly and securely. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct in-person and remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted questions.
- Replicate, diagnose, and analyze issues reported by end-users, while crafting effective solutions that prioritize security considerations throughout the resolution process.
- Maintain detailed logs of events, problems, and their resolutions.
- Provide training and guidance to users, addressing identified difficulties and sharing tips for optimal computer operation.
- Set up and deploy IT equipment for new employees.
- Train users in software and operating systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external technicians seamlessly.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of IT policies.
- Identify and recommend possible improvements to procedures.
- Contribute to directed projects, including helpdesk and RMM tools implementation, as well as PC imaging software.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Position Requirements**:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in an IT-related discipline
- Two to five years of progressive experience in desktop support.
- Inquisitive problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to replicate and investigate technical issues thoroughly.
- Effective time management with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on business needs.
- Adaptability and the skill to customize technical advice according to the end-users' technical abilities.
- Clear communication skills to troubleshoot, advise, and educate end-users.
- Competent in debugging and reprogramming of technical systems.
- Efficient in setting up hardware and installing relevant systems and software.
- Ability to meet deadlines effectively.

- Unifi Network Equipment.
- SmartDeploy PC Imaging.
- Dell Hardware (both Laptop and Server/Storage).
- Apple iPhone and iPad and Apple Business Manager.
- InTune MDM.MS 365 Suite including Business Applications.
**Location**:Abbotsford, BC- in Office
**Schedule**:Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
